If He would have been from El Salvador, then his lingo would be one of tortillas, tamales, and pupusas.<\/p><p>However, God chose Israel as the nation through which to reveal Himself to the entire world. Therefore, we should learn about the Jewish culture of Yeshua (Jesus) so that we may better understand and accurately interpret His teachings, the Bible, its language, the people, and the land. Doing so will broaden our knowledge of God and enrich our personal spiritual experience as effective followers of Jesus.<\/p><p><span style=\"color: #dea557;\"><strong>When we read the Bible in its original, cultural context, it takes on full color and raises our faith to a whole new level.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c997004 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c997004\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\">\n\t\t\t\t<p>We love how Lois Tverberg explains the richness that abounds when we study Scripture with greater understanding:<\/p><blockquote><p>&#8220;Have you ever tasted fresh pita bread made by the Bedouins? (John 17:20-21 NKJV).<\/span><\/p><p>I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, <strong>endeavoring to keep the unity<\/strong> of the Spirit in the bond of peace. (Gen. 12:3 NKJV)<\/p><p>You, being a wild olive tree, were <strong>grafted in<\/strong> among them, and with them <strong>became a partaker<\/strong> of the root and fatness of the olive tree (Rom. 11:17-18 NKJV)<\/p><p>At that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off <b>have been brought near by the blood of Christ<\/b>. (Eph. 2:12-13 NKJV)<\/p><\/blockquote><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-toggle-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-title-3613\" class=\"elementor-tab-title\" data-tab=\"3\" role=\"tab\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-3613\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-toggle-icon elementor-toggle-icon-left\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-toggle-icon-closed\"><i class=\"fas fa-caret-right\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-toggle-icon-opened\"><i class=\"elementor-toggle-icon-opened fas fa-caret-up\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"\" class=\"elementor-toggle-title\">Embracing \"The One New Man\"<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-3613\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"3\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-3613\"><p><em>The One New Man<\/em> is the reality of the Body of Messiah. Based in part on Ephesians 2:15, Scripture affirms that Jesus&#8217; death on the cross accomplished the following:<\/p><ul><li><strong>\u2022\u00a0 Brought peace and unity<\/strong> between Jew and Gentile<\/li><li><strong>\u2022\u00a0 Tore down the wall of hostility<\/strong> that separated us<\/li><li><strong>\u2022\u00a0 Created the One New Man<\/strong> from the two peoples<\/li><\/ul><blockquote><p>For He Himself is our peace, who has <b>made both one<\/b>, and has <b>broken down the middle wall of separation<\/b>, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to <b>create in Himself one new man from the two<\/b>, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. (Eph. 2:14-16 NKJV)<\/p><\/blockquote><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-toggle-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-title-3614\" class=\"elementor-tab-title\" data-tab=\"4\" role=\"tab\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-3614\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-toggle-icon elementor-toggle-icon-left\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-toggle-icon-closed\"><i class=\"fas fa-caret-right\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-toggle-icon-opened\"><i class=\"elementor-toggle-icon-opened fas fa-caret-up\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"\" class=\"elementor-toggle-title\">Understanding \"To the Jew First\"<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-3614\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"4\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-3614\"><p>As the Body of Messiah, we recognize that in terms of history, culture, and covenants, the Gospel was promised and preached to the Jews first, then to the Gentiles. This does not mean that the Gospel is exclusively for the Jews, but that as a chosen nation, God revealed Himself to the Jewish people first.<\/p><p>The Jewish people gave us the knowledge of the One True God, the Good News of the Gospel, our Savior Yeshua, and the revelation of God through the Hebrew Scriptures. Today, Gentiles have the responsibility to bring the Gospel back to the Jewish people and help them acknowledge Messiah Yeshua.<\/p><blockquote><p>For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, <b>for the Jew first<\/b> <strong>and also for the Greek<\/strong>. (Rom. 1:16 NKJV)<\/p><p>But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the <strong>end of the earth<\/strong>.
