Did you know that there are at least 150 thoughts trying to enter your mind at any given minute? Did you also know that your mind is only able to joggle between 5-7 thoughts at a time?
You can pick up one thought and chew on it for a bit while at the same time have other thoughts lined up shoving each other fighting for position right outside the door of our mind, eagerly waiting for the door to open so they can rush in!
Have you observed people who forget what they were about to say in mid-sentence? They seem to “lose their train of thought.” It is as if the mind was electrically short-circuited and it goes blank. This occurs because of the complex joggling going on in our thought world! Sometimes we could take off with one thought and land with a completely different one!
The thoughts you chose to entertain will determine your:
- Feelings
- Actions
- Results
Your thoughts have a direct effect on your emotions, and your emotions influence your actions. Obviously, your actions will determine your results.
Every battle you face is for the mind! If external forces capture your mind, they can lead you even though you’re 1,000 miles away! That’s the power of thought.
